The first transaction block of the Bitcoin ledger, named Bloc Genesis, was created thirteen years ago today, January 3, 2009 at 6:15 p.m. It was the start of the TimeChain  de Bitcoin.
One « coinbase » may contain arbitrary data, Satoshi Nakamoto inserted in this first block the title of an article from the Financial Times of the day :
The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
This article, which timestamps the block and proves that there was no pre-mining, did not choose at random: Alistair Maclean Darling, Chancellor of the Exchequer (Minister of Finance) of the Gordon government Brown, then tried to save the banks from the financial crisis in which they were bogged down since the fall of 2008.
